Compare the whole roof drainage path
Map each roof plane to the gutter run it feeds, then note valleys, corners, outlets, downspout count and length, roof edge condition, stories, and access. A larger gutter does not solve an undersized or poorly placed downspout or an outlet that cannot discharge safely.
