Concrete Cost Estimator
A concrete budget follows the site as much as the slab: excavation, base, thickness, reinforcement, forms, access, finish, and drainage.
Measure concrete from the ground up
Concrete cost follows the site preparation as much as the finished surface. Define whether the scope is a slab, driveway, walkway, patio, repair, or demolition and replacement before carrying a material allowance.
Measurements and cost drivers
- Record length, width, thickness, edges, slope, joints, steps, and transitions to existing work.
- Separate excavation, gravel base, forms, reinforcement, pumping or delivery access, placement, finishing, and curing protection.
- Include demolition, hauling, disposal, accessibility requirements, drainage, and restoration where they apply.
- Identify plain, exposed, stamped, colored, or other finish intent without treating a finish choice as a fixed bid.
Budget assumptions and exclusions
An early estimate cannot confirm subgrade, buried utilities, groundwater, frost movement, structural reinforcement, right-of-way review, or local permit requirements. Repairs and replacements need field verification; driveway and walkway grades should be checked for water and accessible travel.
